Plot: Macross Frontier takes place on the Macross Frontier space colony, where the paths of school girl Ranka Lee, pop-culture icon Sheryl Nome, and pilot Alto Saotome are about to collide as they try to defend their home from the impending threat of the alien Vajra.

Why You Should Watch: Macross Frontier is an intricate web of space battles, popular culture, romance and fantastic music. The art and animation is stunning, and the plot will leave you wanting more. Rich with fun and emotion, this is a must-watch for any otaku!

Characters:

Ranka Lee (ランカ・リー) - Also known as the Super Dimensional Cinderella. Ranka is a vivacious but naive teenage girl who skyrockets to fame after being discovered as a talented singer in the Miss Macross pageant.

Sheryl Nome (シェリル・ノーム) - Also known as the Galactic Fairy. Sheryl is a popular songstress in the Macross Frontier Universe; she is independent and sometimes cold, but has a innerly sensitive nature.

Alto Saotome (早乙女アルト) - A young pilot recently accepted into S.M.S. Skull Squadron of Macross Frontier's fleet. Alto is aloof and sometimes harsh, but he is loyal to his friends and willing to fight for them. He dreams of flying in a "real" sky, and is the focal point of a love triangle with Sheryl and Ranka.
